Freshworks is Kelly Strayhorn Theater’s creative residency for artists and collaborators based in the greater Pittsburgh region. As a Fall 2022 Freshworks Resident, Velazquez presented a thirty minute staged reading of It is from her these seeds are sown, a mango-infused play on Latinx family building, personal desires, and bodily autonomy.
